Leading Through Technology: Addressing Core Organizational Problems in 2025

by The Techronicler Team

How can technology be leveraged to solve the most pressing organizational and workplace challenges of 2025?

This is the question we posed to a group of experienced technology leaders from the Techronicler community, asking them to identify their key priorities and the technology-driven solutions they envision.

From improving communication and collaboration to fostering a more data-driven culture, their answers provide a blueprint for organizations seeking to thrive in the years ahead.

This post explores their insights, offering a glimpse into how technology can be strategically employed to create a more efficient, engaging, and successful future of work.

Managing Compression of Time

The biggest challenge we’re going to see in 2025 is the expectation of time being compressed even more.

Time is our biggest asset as well as our biggest enemy to getting quality work completed.

In today’s era, we’re being provided smarter tools to allow smart people to get more done more quickly. That doesn’t mean that quality has to suffer, and human time involvement is still necessary.

While many of us will rely on AI to help us assemble information, thoughts, plans, codes, etc., it will still require the human touch.

You can’t change the human effort needed as all that being done is the expectation of shortening the delivery window.

AI for Workflows and Productivity

A key area I foresee technology addressing is the integration of AI to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

As CIOs embrace agentic AI, the challenge will be embedding these solutions within existing business processes to ensure seamless collaboration across teams.

AI-driven automation can elevate operational efficiency, but only if the data and processes are adequately prepared to support these intelligent systems.

This means organizations will have to focus on refining their data infrastructure and integration practices to fully harness the benefits of AI.

Furthermore, as AI continues to evolve, maintaining data quality and security will remain paramount.

Businesses will need to prioritize both AI-driven cybersecurity measures and data management protocols to prevent vulnerabilities and maximize AI’s potential.

Automation Tools for a Cohesive Software Framework

For small businesses either in niche trades where industry-specific software isn’t available, or who don’t have the resources to hire a developer, the lack of all-in-one business management technology causes workflow redundancies, errors in data synchronization, and inflated staffing expenses.

In 2025 we’re seeking to expand how we leverage the capabilities of integrative automation tools like Zapier and IFTTT to connect disparate applications, reduce customer onboarding time and cost, and free up our administrative team for less tedious tasks.

Whether applied to sync customer data between CRM and accounting platforms, automatically duplicate work logs in file-sharing databases, or tagging keywords to customer marketing profiles, the ever-expanding capacities of these tools – paired with creative implementation – makes a cohesive internal software framework accessible to more small businesses.

Solutions for Administrative Workload in Mental Health

One of the core challenges I’m focused on addressing through technology is the overwhelming administrative burden faced by mental health providers.

Documentation, treatment plans, and compliance requirements often consume hours of a clinician’s day time that could be better spent directly supporting their clients.

Our mission at Mentalyc is to eliminate this pain point through advanced AI-driven automation.

We’re designing solutions that not only streamline the creation of notes and treatment plans but also ensure they are accurate, insightful, and compliant with industry standards. Imagine a therapist finishing a session and having an automated draft of their notes ready—complete with key observations and structured goals saving them hours each week.

But beyond efficiency, I believe technology should enhance the human aspect of care. By reducing administrative load, clinicians can focus more on building trust and delivering quality care, rather than feeling bogged down by paperwork.

This initiative isn’t just about making processes faster; it’s about creating space for mental health providers to do what they do best, helping people.

By solving this challenge, we aim to support both clinicians and their clients, fostering better outcomes and a healthier work-life balance for all.

Strategies to Mimic the Workplace

One of the biggest challenges that companies have been facing is how to keep employees engaged and on-track when they’re working remotely. Without discipline, it’s very easy to be distracted if you’re working outside the office.

As we head into 2025, I’ve made a concerted effort to try and mimic the workplace environment virtually without suffocating my employees, who enjoy flexibility.

This strategy includes:

  • Leveraging Microsoft Teams to centralize our workload – active projects, brainstorming sessions, and a “break room” that encourages employees to communicate on anything non-work related
  • Pushing Continuing Education initiatives by paying for coursework or getting grants to “Grow with Google” programs, that show staff I’m invested in their growth, with them
  • Getting the team involved in fun exercises like mock music videos which allow them to express themselves!

We tried some of these initiatives in 2024 with success and look to expand on them!

Battling Inefficiency and Redundancy

For me, the core problem I’m trying to solve is workplace inefficiency and reducing redundant tasks.

I believe we often overhire for roles that can be easily automated, and those people could be utilized for more valuable work.

Even if we have not overhired, employees should have tasks that contribute to their career growth, and learning.

For example, I recently automated social media comment responses for my organizations. It uses AI, trained with my specific instructions, to reply to comments. Before this, I had a dedicated employee handling this.

This is just one example of how technology, AI, and automation can help. These tech solutions work 24/7 and are much faster.

My employee can now focus on more creative tasks instead of monotonous work. This is the future of work, in my opinion.

I think in 2025, automation and AI is the future and will make organizations more efficient and lean.

Tackling Pilot Shortage with Technology

One of the biggest challenges I’m focusing on in 2025 is tackling the pilot shortage by leveraging the power of technology.

With air travel on the rise, recruitment and scheduling systems need to be more efficient and less of a headache.

At Pilot Pathfinder, my team and I use automation and data-driven insights to make the hiring process smoother and faster—particularly helpful for folks like transitioning military aviators.

Our tech simplifies monthly scheduling by cutting out confusing algorithms and letting pilots easily choose their preferred flights.

By addressing these pain points, we give airlines a competitive edge and keep pilots engaged in their careers.

Ultimately, I believe the right technology can turn workforce challenges into opportunities that push the aviation industry forward.

Scalability in Customer Education

Organizations have realized that providing good customer support is not just a ‘nice to have’ but a ‘need to have.’

In response, many are looking at ways they can build their customer education programs and enhance them to prove their value.

With artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, a stronger emphasis will be placed on highly personalized learning tracks that are tailored to each customer’s needs as they progress through a platform, service, or offering.

This will change the support needed for direct interactions, making customer education more scalable. It also allows for greater consultation and strategy, similar to what in-person sessions can offer, to enhance retention.

More Viability to WFH Arrangements

I’m trying to make working at home more viable in 2025.

It’s the toughest part for me, as this kind of problem affects online teams because they are prone to losing each other and causing confusion, then eventually project submissions that come quite late.

However, I have always believed in incorporating AI-facilitated tools to manage and facilitate improved manners of collaboration – something I can definitely achieve when done with other people.

These tools help us make sure that everyone can talk to each other and keep track of jobs across all time zones.

Businesses will need to fix this issue as they move toward more open settings. I can’t wait to see how these ideas change the way other teams work.

Addressing Communication Silos

Focus is on addressing communication silos in hybrid and remote work environments. These silos hinder collaboration, delay decision-making, and impact team morale.

To tackle this, I prioritize implementing integrated digital workspaces and AI-driven tools that centralize communication and streamline workflows.

For example, adopting AI tools for real-time translation and automated task tracking ensures everyone stays aligned, regardless of location.

This approach fosters transparency, enhances productivity, and creates a more inclusive workplace.

My goal is to eliminate barriers to seamless collaboration and empower teams to work smarter, not harder.
