Chad Walding - Google Drive

Google Drive is a powerful tool for managing and collaborating on documents, but there can be lag time caused by larger files or multiple users working on the document simultaneously.

Even small improvements in sync speed, and making it more responsive, would provide significant improvements in benefits to businesses with faster sync speeds resulting in improved workflows and increased productivity.

In my previous experience in managing teams, faster file synchronization would eliminate frustrations and it could help improve productivity.

For us, working together and collaborating is an essential part of our business and sometimes even minor lag time can impact productivity.

Improved synchronization would help keep things flowing.

Ben Lund - Google Search Console

As a former Google Employee and 20 year digital marketer (and agency owner), I vote for Google Search Console as the tool that URGENTLY requires a boost in functionality!

Google Search Console is Google’s organic search reporting platform, used by marketers worldwide to understand their organic ranking on Google.

Unlike GA (GA4) which underwent a major retooling, this platform hasn’t had any significant change in years.

While the tool hasn’t changed, search behavior has changed significantly – and how search is displayed on Google.

Google is way more complex than years ago, and this tool should be updated to include:

  • AI references and citations: This is huge, Google is leaning on AI answers and is pulling data from websites – and linkedin to websites from AI – but isn’t sharing this data to publishers.

  • Map ranking / traffic – integrated with Google Business.

  • Insights into Google Discovery.

Cassandra Wheeler - Google Tasks

One Google tool that’s long overdue for an upgrade is Google Tasks.

While it’s conveniently built into Gmail and Google Calendar, it’s still very limited for modern productivity needs.

It lacks basic features like tags and priority levels, as well as the ability to organize tasks into more advanced structures. There’s no way to assign tasks to others or track progress visually with timelines.

You also can’t create recurring subtasks or set task dependencies, which makes managing anything beyond a simple checklist frustrating.

With so many people relying on digital tools to stay organized, especially in remote work environments, Google Tasks feels outdated.

A serious update could turn it into a true competitor to apps like Todoist or Microsoft To Do, while also making Google Workspace much more robust for team collaboration.

Alejandro Meyerhans - Google Drive

I believe Google Drive urgently needs a performance boost. While it serves as a vital tool for collaboration, users often face lag, especially with larger files.

According to a survey, nearly 42% of users report frustration with slow upload speeds, which can hinder productivity.

Enhancing Drive’s responsiveness and reliability would empower teams to work more efficiently in a remote landscape.

In a world where speed is critical, improving this service could significantly impact user satisfaction and workflow effectiveness.

Eugene Leow Zhao Wei - Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) urgently needs a functionality upgrade.

It’s become a critical tool for local visibility, yet the dashboard remains clunky, especially for agencies managing multiple profiles. Updates to hours or services often take days to reflect, and the review response flow is painfully outdated for 2025 standards.

For small businesses, this lag can mean lost foot traffic or frustrated customers.

A real-time sync system, bulk editing with instant feedback, and better analytics would make a huge difference.

It’s ironic that a product so central to local search still feels like an afterthought. Speed alone won’t fix it—it needs smarter usability too.

Kirsten Gollier - Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile is one tool that urgently needs performance and support improvements.

Small businesses are regularly having their profiles flagged as “violating Google guidelines,” but Google does not specify what the violation was.

All the business owner can do is fill out a form to appeal the decision.

This process is supposed to take up to two weeks, but for many businesses, it takes longer, OR the issue is never resolved at all. There is also no contact information or support person to speak with during the process.

This can significantly harm a business’s digital presence, especially if the company has many reviews attached to that profile.

Local businesses rely on their Google Business Profile for leads, and when their profile is suspended, it’s a direct loss of income.

I believe much of the platform is probably powered by automation/AI, but businesses deserve access to human support and hands-on help.

Kristiyan Yankov - Google Search Console

Google Search Console needs a serious speed and UX upgrade—especially for agencies managing multiple properties.

The data delay alone slows everything down. When you’re running link-building or content campaigns, waiting 2–3 days just to see impact is rough. On top of that, the UI isn’t built for efficiency—navigating between domains, or even exporting clear reports for clients, takes too many clicks.

I’d love to see real-time (or close to real-time) indexing insights, and faster performance when checking things like Core Web Vitals or page indexing errors. It’s such a central tool, yet still feels clunky compared to the speed and polish of something like GA4 or Chrome DevTools.

If Google Search Console worked faster and smoother, it would save us hours each week—and give us more time to focus on what actually drives growth.

Matthew Griffin - Google Gemini

Google Gemini needs to boost its speed – at the moment it returns results slower than most platforms because of the way the computing layer has been designed.

For example, ChatGPT running on Grow CPUs produces literally real time results and answers.

As more users use Google AI services the slower speed of their service could end up seeing them lose customers to other platforms.

This speed issue is actually one of the reasons why people started using Google rather than other slower search engines in the 2000’s so it’s actually more important than most people think and a differentiator in today’s busy competitive market place.

Cache Merrill - Google Analytics

While Chrome’s Speedometer triumph is impressive, I’d argue that Google Analytics urgently needs a similar performance overhaul.

In my work with clients, slow-loading dashboards and delayed data updates often stall critical marketing decisions.

A snappier interface and real‑time reporting would let teams react instantly to shifts in user behavior and campaign performance.

By cutting report‑generation times from minutes to seconds, businesses can iterate faster, reduce guesswork, and drive better ROI.

In today’s rapid‑fire digital landscape, those saved seconds translate directly into growth—making Analytics speed as vital as Chrome’s browsing performance.
