Bridging Gaps by Rethinking Work
The biggest challenge for organizations today is bridging the gap between outdated workplace policies and how people work in 2025.
Companies like AT&T, Zoom, and Amazon, known champions of remote connectivity, are mandating an RTO. This move feels ironic and disconnected from a reality where remote and hybrid work have proven effective and transformative.
UC&C technologies have redefined team connections. Messaging, video conferencing, and file-sharing tools enable seamless, real-time communication across time zones, breaking barriers to global collaboration.
Add to this the rise of platforms like Remote.com for global hiring and payment processing, and organizations now have the power to tap into talent from virtually anywhere, onboard efficiently, and align distributed teams with ease.
This shift isn’t just about technology—it’s about rethinking work.
By embracing flexibility, trust, and innovation, organizations are meeting today’s needs while positioning themselves for long-term success in a world where work transcends physical locations.

Scaling Customer Support
A significant challenge we’re addressing in 2025 is scaling our customer support while maintaining a personal, high-quality experience.
As our business grows, managing the increasing volume of customer queries becomes more difficult without sacrificing service quality.
We’re leveraging AI-powered tools like chatbots and automated customer service systems that can handle routine questions, track orders, and resolve common issues.
This reduces response times and allows our support team to focus on more complex inquiries, leading to better overall customer satisfaction.
Alongside automation, we’re using data analytics to identify recurring issues and trends in customer feedback. This will help us continuously improve our products and services, ensuring we meet customer expectations consistently.
By integrating AI into our customer service, we can scale efficiently without losing the human touch that our customers value.

Boosting Operational Efficiency
One of our priorities as a business at Advastar in 2025 is to make more effective use of the technology at our disposal to improve our operations.
Here is one of the ways that we plan to do that in the coming year:
There are a variety of repetitive administrative tasks involved with our work as recruiters, and these can end up taking up a disproportionate amount of our team’s time, preventing us from putting our full effort into more useful work like engaging with candidates.
We plan to integrate new technology into our stack in 2025 that will help us to address this issue. This has started with the addition of workflow automation tools that will automatically handle some of that administrative work for us.
We also plan to integrate a more sophisticated chatbot that can be used to automatically schedule candidate interviews and send them invitations to things like skill and personality assessments.
This will be integrated with our internal communications and workflow systems to add automated reminders and automatic document management features to our toolbox.
With this technology, we will be able to operate more efficiently and devote more of our time and attention to the meaningful aspects of our work.

Remote Connectivity and Efficiency
As a technology leader in 2025, a core organizational challenge I aim to address is ensuring that remote teams stay connected and efficient, especially in a post-pandemic work environment.
Technology can help bridge the communication gap that can arise when teams are spread across the globe. By adopting more advanced collaboration tools that integrate messaging, task management, and real-time file sharing, we can create a seamless workflow.
The key here is choosing solutions that not only foster communication but also give us deeper insights into team productivity, allowing us to pinpoint inefficiencies early on.
Another area we’re focusing on is using AI to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up our teams to focus on more strategic work. This will help optimize time management across the organization and ensure we continue to deliver high-quality content and campaigns efficiently.
By using technology to improve collaboration and operational processes, we aim to scale without losing the personalized, innovative approach that defines our brand.

Estate Planning Digital Platform
My focus would be on creating a simple, secure digital platform that makes estate planning easier.
The platform would guide clients through creating documents like wills and trusts, using straightforward questions and offering explanations in plain language.
Once the documents are ready, clients can store them securely, with easy access for future updates. They could also invite family members or advisors to collaborate, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Plus, the platform would send automatic reminders to review and update plans, keeping everything current and making the whole process less stressful.

Equitable Career Opportunities
In 2025, a core workplace challenge I aim to address with technology is bridging the gap in equitable career development opportunities.
Too often, conscious or unconscious biases can influence who gets access to mentorship, stretch assignments, or professional growth paths. By providing more transparent and data-driven solutions, technology can help level the playing field.
As the Board Chair of The STEAM Learning Institute, I see firsthand how technology can drive equity and innovation when applied thoughtfully.
For example, leveraging AI-powered talent management platforms allows organizations to identify skill gaps, recommend tailored development programs, and track progression across the workforce.
These tools ensure that opportunities are distributed based on merit and potential rather than subjective perceptions.
Paired with regular audits to prevent algorithmic bias, this technology becomes a powerful driver for inclusion. By integrating these tools, organizations can create environments where employees feel empowered to grow—and where systemic blind spots no longer limit access to opportunity.

Enhancing Remote Team Connectivity
I aim to eliminate the disconnect that occurs in distributed remote teams.
Collaboration across time zones often leads to inefficiencies and delayed decision-making processes. Toggl is focused on creating asynchronous communication tools that provide real-time clarity without constant meetings.
These tools empower teams to remain productive while respecting individual schedules and workflows.
Technology can bridge gaps and foster stronger connections in remote-first workplaces. The future of work should prioritize flexibility without compromising collaboration or engagement.
Delivering Flexibility
In 2025, my focus is on making flexible work TRULY effective, not as a trendy ‘perk’, but as a genuine enabler of productivity and wellbeing.
The core challenge I want to tackle is bridging the gap between saying ‘we support flexibility’ and delivering it in a way that’s authentic and impactful.
Technology can play a transformative role here. Tools that emphasise outcomes over hours and systems that facilitate equitable workload distribution and seamless communication are key.
This isn’t about micromanaging or adding unnecessary complexity… it’s actually about simplifying workflows and creating REAL balance.
My main goal is a workplace where flexibility feels natural and embedded, where employees are trusted, supported, and empowered to excel professionally while living fulfilling personal lives.
Leveraging the Potential of Ideas
One core workplace challenge I want to address is the inefficiency in capturing and revisiting ideas that don’t immediately make the cut.
So often, great ideas surface during brainstorming sessions, only to be set aside and forgotten because they don’t fit the current project’s needs. It feels wasteful, like we’re letting valuable creative energy slip through our fingers. I want to ensure we’re making the most of our team’s brainpower, not just for today’s challenges but for future opportunities.
To tackle this, I’m envisioning a system, powered by AI and other tools, that captures, organizes, and tags these “unusable-for-now” ideas in a way that’s easily searchable and accessible later.
Think of it like creating an evergreen brainstorming vault.
With the right tech, we can ensure that no good idea ever truly goes to waste. It would not only help us be more economical with our time and creativity but also empower us to build off past ideas when the timing or project is right.
Balancing Profitability with Inclusivity
In 2025, we aim to address the lack of inclusivity in both workplace technology and consumer-facing platforms.
Many businesses still struggle to offer products and services that cater to the diverse body types of their consumers, which leads to missed market opportunities and reputational risks, especially as body discrimination laws continue to evolve.
Through the use of advanced technology, we are working to develop platforms and tools that promote body inclusion, allowing businesses to better identify and design for a broader range of customers.
Additionally, our focus on leveraging data analytics will help businesses understand their customer base more deeply, enabling them to adapt their offerings with greater precision.
Ultimately, our goal is to balance profitability with inclusivity, ensuring that businesses not only stay ahead of legal requirements but also meet the needs of the one in three Americans actively seeking inclusive products and experiences.
